MOREAU HOUSE COME & SEE PROGRAM
Moreau House SlideshowYoung men at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas can live in Catholic Christian community at Moreau House with candidates who are studying to become Holy Cross brothers or priests. Moreau House is named after the Congregation of Holy Cross’ founder, Blessed Fr. Basil Moreau, C.S.C.

Although residents do not necessarily enter with the intention of discerning a vocation to religious life, they enjoy the added spiritual dimension of this experience, and they find this a natural way to explore their personal spirituality. Spiritual direction is available for students who want assistance in developing their faith life.

Life at Moreau House is as down to earth and busy as any residence hall. In our campus residence, collegiates and candidates share meals, prayer, household chores, and a weekly “Egg Ministry” feeding the homeless in downtown Austin. Holy Cross Brothers, some of whom teach at St. Edward's, live in the adjoining hall, and students, candidates, and Brothers get together one evening a week for dinner. Every Friday night, friends and family come to Moreau House for Mass and dinner, the highlight of everyone's week.

For more information, contact Brother Larry Atkinson, C.S.C, the Program Director, at larrya@stedwards.edu, or call him at (512) 464-8819.

We invite you to take a moment to read about the Moreau House program in a presentation prepared by Mr. Enrique Villarreal, Staff Assistant.
