Brothers of Holy Cross Launch Project Hope

In conjunction with National Vocation Awareness Week, the Brothers of Holy Cross launched Project Hope, a competition for participating Holy Cross high school students to reflect on the teachings of Blessed Father Basil Moreau, C.S.C. "We're very excited about the launch of this contest. We know our students want to make a difference in the world. We want to know how they can bring hope to others," said Bro. Jonathan Beebe, C.S.C. Students can submit their own ideas or experiences – in writing, art, film and music – the ways they can use their gifts and talents to bring hope to others.

Project Hope offers students recognition, exhibition and publication on the Brothers’ Web site holycrossbrothers.org. A total of five prizes will be awarded – the Grand Prize winner will receive $500.

A panel of Brothers of Holy Cross will judge submissions based on originality, creativity, thoughtfulness and impact on others. "The contest ends on April 15.

The winners will be announced on April 25, the World Day of Prayer for Vocations with winning entries exhibited on our Web site," commented Bro. Jonathan. “We hope this contest will become an annual part of each school year,” he added.
