Holy Cross Priests and Brothers arrived in Uganda in 1958.
East Africa was established as a Distrcit within the COngregation
of Holy Cross, under the jurisdiction of the Indiana Province
of Priests and the Eastern Province of Brothers, in 1978.
In addition to the American Priests and Brothers, the District
draws its membership from four East African countries: Uganda,
Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. Presently, educational and parish
ministries are located in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
