Holy Cross College
Holy Cross College is a four-year college located just north of
South Bend, Indiana. It was founded in 1966 by the
Holy Cross Brothers and is still maintained by the Brothers today.
The 500-member student body is made up of male and female, national
and international students. The faculty, which is approximately
50 percent Catholic priests, sisters or brothers, values effective
teaching as one of the College's strongest assets.
Although
the intellectual development is its first reason for existence,
the College actively maintains and develops programs which enhance
the social, physical, spiritual and moral development of its students.
The College welcomes students of all faiths and emphasizes Christian
philosophy in living by actively encouraging students to explore
a personal understanding of their relationship to God, others
and self.
Archbishop Hoban H.S.
Archbishop Hoban High School, a private coeducational Catholic
high school, is sponsored by the Brothers of the Holy Cross and
is located in Akron, Ohio. In the spirit of Father Basil
Moreau, the school’s vision is to develop in its graduates the
competence to see and the courage to act. Hoban’s
mission is to provide an educational atmosphere centered in gospel
values, high expectations and achievement.
The school boasts many academic and athletic achievements in its 47-year history. In 1998 the U.S. Department of Education designated Hoban a Blue Ribbon School, which recognizes the school as a model of
excellence.
